Hypnotherapy Training
The Surrey Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy has been training students in its Surrey office in all types of hypnosis and hypnotherapy techniques.
The current courses include its flagship hypnotherapy training Diploma course that gives the student a HPD (Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma) which is externally accredited by the NCFE and the NCH, and is equivalent to a NVQ level 4 qualification.
What qualifications do I need to be great at hypnotherapy?
There are no academic qualifications that you need, however there are certain qualities that will help set you apart from other therapists.
- Firstly, a passion for the work. If you have a burning desire to help people overcome obstacles and blocks in their life, as well as moving them forward, hypnotherapy could be for you.
- Secondly, if you are able to listen carefully to what someone is saying and absorb, remember and record the information, then you have the capability needed for hypnotherapy.
- Thirdly, can you problem solve? A large part of hypnotherapy is solving clients psychological and emotional problems using a fresh perspective.
- Lastly, can you put aside any personal, emotional beliefs and restrictions that you may have, to enable you, to work with a client without passing judgement in any way?
So to sum up, to make hypnotherapy your profession you need passion, be able to listen, the ability to solve problems and able to be non judgemental. It’s a tall order, but with our hypnotherapy training, if you have it in you, we can help you to bring it out and make you the best therapist you can be. During our diploma course we aim to help you to think like a therapist as well as have all the tools you need to be an effective one.

There is a lot of hypnotherapy training out there, but there is a difference between training and education.
